the big tent of Yeshiva University is the inspiration for the title and the mission of the Mitocha O'Hel series,

on which I am a privilege to work together with the indefatigable Dr. Stuart Halpern,

based on the premise that the rich and diverse scholarship

of the family, that is the faculty

and the administration of Yashiva University,

that creates such a vibrant and exciting educational atmosphere

in classrooms in America and Israel and beyond

could be brought together in published form to share thoughts and insights on topics of Torah scholarship

as was represented in the first two volumes devoted to studies of the weekly Parcia

and of the weekly half Torah.

So you can imagine how thrilled we were when we realized that in time for the third volume,

our faculty would welcome the arrival of a world-renowned rabbinic leader, who is himself

the embodiment of a rich and diverse scholarship.
