Welcome to Conversations for the Journey, a weekly podcast to help us commune with our God through

prayer in response to what he has spoken to us through His Word.

It is always a gift to be with you, friends, and for us to get to dive into God's Word together

and just to listen to His Word

speaking to us so that we can speak it right back to Him in ways that I pray are a blessing to

our Lord, just the sweet fragrance of the incense that we bring to Him when we come in prayer

and then that our hearts and our lives would be changed even as we engage with

our father in heaven. So this week we are looking at Acts 9 1 through 19. This is one of those

moments that once again is probably very familiar to most of us here. It is the conversion of Saul,

persecutor of the church, who as we now, is the Apostle Paul and largely responsible

for us understanding all of the theology that we understand in the New Testament today. And so we're

so thankful the Lord did something amazing in Saul's life. And we're praying that he would do

more and more of that. And so as we pray through this

passage, there are some specific things that I want us to draw our attention to. I hope that

you were encouraged just a few weeks ago as TA just spent some time on a Sunday morning,

encouraging us to focus in on the persecuted church. And so as we read this passage, there are some great opportunities

for us to kind of refocus back there. And one of the things that I was just, every time I read

through this passage that I'm reminded of, is that we don't just pray for the persecuted church,

but we pray for the persecutors of the church. I think about just several years ago, I had the
