Welcome to Conversations for the Journey, a weekly podcast to help us commune with our God through

prayer in response to what he has spoken to us through His Word. It is a joy to be with you all

each and every week and so honored that you would tune in and just join us in

prayer. This week is a bit of a different week for us. It's an off week from our typical kind of

walk through the Book of Acts for this year. And this week we're taking some time just to

hone in on one of our markers here, one of our 10 markers here at Watermark that we want to just spend

some time thinking on, praying for, and asking the Lord to do something great in us. And that marker

is that we want to be a spirit-led church. What does that mean? Well, we're going to spend some time

this week unpacking that and considering what that means, frankly, it means a lot when you consider

all that the Spirit of God is left here to do. And so we don't have time to talk about all of the

things. But as I was just planning for this particular episode, there were just three things

that I thought would be good for us to focus in on that the spirit does and that we in response to the

spirit not wanting to quench the spirit but instead that we would be filled with the spirit and

led by him that these are just three things that I think we have an opportunity this week to respond

to so the first thing that came to mind is just that we would be a people who listen to the conviction of the spirit.

And so we just want to pray for that.

And in John 16, Jesus says, he says, I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away.

For if I do not go away, the helper will not come to you.

That's the spirit.
