This is the Join the Journey weekly prayer podcast.

0:13.1

Unlike our new Tuesday teaching episodes, this time is set apart for guided prayer as we abide in Jesus together.

0:20.6

Here's your host, Wes Butler. Well,

0:24.0

welcome to Conversations for the Journey and happy Easter, friends. We are so excited to be able to

0:30.4

worship and celebrate together as a church family this Easter weekend. You are listening to this,

0:36.5

perhaps on that Sunday morning or sometime after that,

0:39.8

but this episode will be released on Easter Sunday. And so it is such a sweet time for us to reflect on

0:45.9

and to pray for all that we pray that God will do in our Easter services and our celebration

0:52.0

this weekend. And then even to do so as we take a look at the journey,

0:56.3

this is still a journey podcast. And so it is so beautiful to see how the Lord uses what we're going

1:18.3

of, that we serve a risen savior, who is alive and well. And so Acts 754 through 8.3 last week just

1:26.7

looked at the discourse that Stephen gave to the religious leaders,

1:30.6

and now their violent response to that. And so what we see with Stephen in this is he begins

1:37.6

this kind of response by just acknowledging that he looks up into heaven and he sees Jesus standing at the right hand of God.

1:47.2

And brothers and sisters, here's what I hope that calls to mind for you, is this, that Jesus is alive.

1:54.8

That as we celebrate on this Easter Sunday that that same Jesus that Stephen saw standing at the right hand of God,

2:00.5

that he is alive and well today.

2:03.0

And so we're just going to pray some prayers of worship, of adoration, of gratitude, that we serve a risen

2:10.7

savior, that we're going to talk to the king of the universe, who is alive and well at the right
