0:23.2	Welcome to Conversations for the Journey, a weekly podcast to help us commune with our God through
0:27.9	prayer in response to what he has spoken to us through His Word. I hope that you are encouraged and
0:34.4	being challenged by our time in the Word and on the journey this year. And as we make
0:38.7	this slow trek through the Book of Acts, I hope that the Lord is just continuing to encourage
0:44.2	your heart and to reveal things to you that he wants you to be prayerful about. And so that's what we
0:50.1	do in these moments is just to take some time to look at our passage for this week,
0:54.9	consider some ways that it might be encouraging us to pray and then to pray according to that.
0:59.3	And so this week we're looking at Acts 3.
1:01.5	And so as I just reflected on this passage a few things that came to mind.
1:05.9	So just the highlight summary of this passage is this is a moment when Peter and John
1:10.7	are making their way through
1:12.2	the temple and they encounter a lame man who is lame from birth and he asks them for money and yet
1:18.6	their response is hey I don't have any silver or gold but what I do have I give to you and they in the power
1:24.4	of Jesus heal this man and it creates this sense of wonder and awe among the people.
1:30.1	And so as I was just reflecting on that a few things here. First of all, this is a story that is a
1:34.8	reminder for us that our faith is playing itself out in the midst of a hurting and broken world.
1:39.8	The reality is that all around us here in our church family and in the communities we live in,
1:44.1	there are people who are facing significant battles with chronic pain or terminal illness
1:48.4	diagnosis, even, life limiting disabilities, mental health challenges. And so we want to take some
