we're considering what God has to say to us in respond to him. And so this week, we're considering what

God has to say to us in Acts chapter one and what this passage invites us to pray to God in

response to him. So let me quickly just highlight three things from this passage that I believe

the Lord is inviting us to talk with him about. And then let's just pray together. So in Acts 1-8,

Luke is giving his account of the great commission of jesus and the overview of both the book of acts and the ongoing mission of

god's church today to carry the gospel from our doorstep to the ends of the earth and so we see

this invitation to wait for the holy spirit to come upon us so that we can be faithful

witnesses in Judea, Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the world. And so today we'll pray

for conviction, courage, and faithfulness for us, and for all those who call ourselves Christians
