Would you turn please to James and the fifth chapter, James Chapter 5?

In James 5, on Sunday mornings for the past few weeks, we've been talking on the subject of prayer, principles, principles of prayer.

And we believe it is an important thing for us always, but at this particular juncture

that the Lord is leading us this way, this is key to our next steps of development as a church

family.

How many believe you ought to know how to pray?

And the church ought to pray and excel at prayer.

And just in my small experience, I believe that proper prayer is one of the most powerful

things that I've seen.

most destructive things I know of churches that are completely destroyed today because of wrong

prayer and know of others that are very very strong and vibrant and fruitful because of proper prayer

so it's not just praying to be praying, but knowing how to pray.

And praying prayers that the Lord can hear and receive an answer.

So let's read our text and continue on today in our study of prayer principles.

The Bible said in verse 13 of chapter 5, James 513, is any among you afflicted?

Let him pray. If you're going through a trial or test or difficulty, what's the first thing going

to cross your mind? See if I can get somebody else to pray for me?

No.

Let him pray.
