Hello my friends and welcome back to the morning mindset. I hope you're ready to get your

mind aligned with the truth of God today. And as we're moving into 2022, we're doing

a short series of preparation for 2022. We'll get back to Proverbs in a bit. But right

now we're focusing on getting our hearts and our minds aligned with God for the sake

of heading in a better direction in 2022 than perhaps we were heading in 2021. I don't

know about you, but I can always use a refresh. I would love to hear how this 2022 prep

just like the color dot com. Or today, I want to talk to you about what happens in our

lives, practically speaking, when we remain connected to Jesus. The previous sections of

Scripture we've been looking at in John 15 have told us, we can receive the life of Jesus

flowing through us to produce fruit in our lives. If we remain connected with Him, well, staying

connected with Him is our responsibility. It's something we have to do. And John 157 through

is going to explain to us what happens, some of the things that can happen. If we do that,

it says, if you abide in me, now remember, this is Jesus speaking, he says, if you abide in me,

and that word abide means stay connected to me. And my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish,

and it will be done for you. By this, my father is glorified, that you bear much fruit,

and so prove to be my disciples. So man, there's a whole lot here for us to unpack.

Jesus says, if you remain connected to me, and my words abide in you, stay connected to you.

So there's another piece of our responsibility. An episode ago, I mentioned that we don't work

up this connection with Jesus through our time in the Word, but friends, our time in the Word of God

does help us to remain connected. It's like a tool. It's not the main channel. It's not the

main power source, but it is a tool that God uses. And Jesus is telling us here, if we stay connected
