Well, hey everybody, welcome to Passion City Church, D.C. My name's Ben, I'm the pastor here, and I'm so thrilled you're here with us.

This is going to be a special day, and we're glad to be sharing it with you.

Because I think all of us know this is an important week in the life of our city and in the life of our nation.

And so I want to give you a preview of where we're going for this gathering.

You know, as we considered what should we do here on the eve of the election?

How do we handle this as a church?

I've been asking the question, what do we as the people of

Jesus need to be doing in days like this? What choices should we be making?

Those who say we have an intimate relationship with the Almighty.

And all of us have been encouraged to vote and here in the next few days, if you haven't already,

you will be faced with the choice to exercise your right to vote or to not.

And I don't feel like I need to press you on that.

I think a lot of voices all around our culture have been encouraging us to do that.

For me, I've been asking the question myself and felt burden to challenge us with as the people of Jesus,

what choice will we make on the day after that?

Or the days after that, or the months after that or the days after that or the months after that.

What kind of people will we be in the days and the months and the years ahead?

And what I felt challenged by and pastorally want to challenge you with is my hope is that we will be people who revere the word of God.
