Hello my friends, welcome back to pray together. This is our Friday bonus episode where we

pray for the needs that have been submitted over the past week. You know, I've been doing a little

bit of thinking about prayer and prayer many times can feel like an act of desperation.

Sometimes it's when we've gotten to the end of our rope and we don't know where else to turn. We turn to God in prayer and

we're asking God for help. Now not intended as a rebuke at all but shouldn't

prayer be more than that shouldn't prayer actually be an ongoing lifeblood kind of a thing.

Like air breathing in and breathing out, breathing in and breathing out, breathing in

God's strength and breathing out our requests,

breathing in his strength, breathing out our requests,

continually, constantly being in a state of prayer.

And I don't mean on your knees with your hands class praying,

but just a consciousness and awareness of God's presence

with us.

Now having said all that I think the desperation can also be a good thing though because

it highlights for us how much we need our God,

how much we need his help and how overwhelming life can be for us.

Mere humans, we need the God of the universe who loves us and who cares for us.
