I'm glad that we have this opportunity today to lift the concerns of brothers and sisters

in Christ who have written to us from around the world.

I'm encouraged that you're here to pray for others, that you're here to think outside

of your own existence, into the lives of others, and to lift them to the King.

Because this is important what we're doing, and I'm excited that we can do it together.

A friend that I want to encourage our hearts as we think toward prayer today, that we are

seeking a response from the King of kings, from Jesus Christ, who said all authority

in heaven and on earth has been given to him.

So think of the comprehensive nature of that.

The one we're asking to come to our aid has all authority over every circumstance we're

facing and every person involved in those circumstances.

So let's go to prayer together in faith that he will act on our behalf.

Lord Jesus, we come to you today knowing that you are great, knowing that you are mighty,

resting in the fact that you have committed yourself to us through your cross and through

your resurrection.

I'm still just staggered by the fact that the God of the universe has cared for mankind

enough as sinful as we are, as duplicitous and unsure of our own hearts and motives sometimes

as we can be.
