0:04.2	Jeremiah chapter 52, verse 4, and in the ninth year of his reign in the 10th month,
0:10.2	on the 10th day of the month, Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon,
0:14.6	came with all his army against Jerusalem and laid siege to it,
0:19.3	and they built siege works all around it.
0:21.6	So here we come to the end of the Book of Jeremiah, and what God has spoken through the mouth of Jeremiah, what Jeremiah has prophesied, indeed fully comes to pass.
0:32.6	Babylonians come against Jerusalem, lay siege to it, and destroy it.
0:39.4	What a fitting end to this book where Jeremiah had said this over and over and over again,
0:46.2	and God's people refused to believe it.
0:50.0	They refused to believe God's word was true, that God's judgment was coming, and as a result,
0:56.7	they experienced total destruction of the city. Many died, many taken into exile, and as we've seen,
1:04.6	even those who stayed continued rebelling against God and experienced even further judgment as a result. Mark it down.
1:14.5	God's Word is true, and God's Word will always prove true. So trust in it. Put all your trust,
1:24.6	all your hope in God's word. Listen to it. Wake up every morning, open it up,
1:30.6	and hear from God. You can't live, I can't live apart from God's word. We need it. We need
1:37.6	his guidance, his instruction, his comfort and encouragement, his warnings. We need God's word to hear it, to listen humbly to it, to obey it, to live according to it.
1:51.8	God, help us, we pray, not to do what your people did in the book of Jeremiah.
1:57.7	God, help us not to neglect your word, not to ignore your word, not to give nominal
2:03.9	adherence to it in name only. God help us to receive your word, to believe your word, to trust your
2:10.6	word, to obey your word, to live according to your word, to revolve our entire life, our families,
2:16.3	our churches around your word, to spread your word wherever we live and spread your word, to revolve our entire life, our families, our churches around your word, to spread
2:18.8	your word, wherever we live, and spread your word to all the nations, knowing that life and
