Today we're concentrating our study and our prayers on our nation.

May I say it is possible for you to love the Lord Jesus Christ with all of your

heart and soul and mind and strength and to also love your nation? In fact, we're living in a

nation filled with people who desperately need to know the Lord Jesus Christ. And if ever there was a time that our country needs true Christian citizens,

I'm talking about people who take seriously their responsibility to be salt and light.

It is the hour in which we live.

We're under no illusions about turning the tide of all of the wicked people in the world. We're not ushering

in the kingdom. Our kingdom is of another world. We're looking for the soon return of the

Lord Jesus Christ. But I want to tell you very emphatically today that until the Lord Jesus Christ

comes for us and calls for us,

Christian people ought to be busy about being the witnesses and the prayer warriors

and the testimonies that the Lord Jesus left us here to be.

And so we turn our attention today to 1 Timothy chapter 2

to the very first thing that all of us can and should do and when i say

first this is not my idea of what should be first our lord said it first timothy chapter 2 verse 1st

i exhort therefore that first of all supplications prayerscessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men,

for kings, and for all that are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life

in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,

who will have all men to be saved and to come under the knowledge of the truth.
