Welcome back.

It is time for the morning nights at I hope you are ready to get your mind aligned with

the truth of God.

Today, we are diving back into Acts 16 and let me set the stage for you because our

story that we are in at the moment began in the last episode.

Paul the Apostle and his friend Silas are in the city of Philippi and they encounter

a young slave girl who is possessed by a demon and this demon allows her to predict

the future and her owners are making money by having her predict the future and charging

for it.

And so, this girl who is possessed by this demon is following Paul on Silas around

as mockingly declaring that Jesus is the Son of God, that he is the Savior and this becomes

a bother to them.

Paul turns around and casts out the demon.

When the girl's owners recognize she is no longer able to do what she used to do in

predicting the future, they become angry and they take Paul and Silas before the magistrates

and have them thrown in jail.

That's where we are at when we pick up in verse 25.

About midnight, Paul and Silas were praying and singing him to God and the prisoners were

listening to them.

And suddenly, there was a great earthquake so that the foundations of the prison were

shaken and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's barns were unfastened.
