Remember that guy from the Angels? Yeah. He went seven innings. Two run runs, five hits, two walks, and nine strikeouts yesterday for Atlanta,

because, of course, Atlanta needs to add to their list of starting pitchers that they have on their teams this year.

Boy, is it like 20 that they've had this year?

Something ridiculous.

And he went 24, 21 whiffs and 36% CSW as well did Jose Suarez against the Nationals for a golden goal.

He got the win in 99 pitches.

It's absolutely bonkers.

And here's the thing.

He kind of deserved it.

He's another Southpaw with a good change-up.

And he threw some really good sinkers inside to the left-handers with 18 inches of run around like 92-93, had some surprise change-ups against left-handers because the nationals were like, yo, we have left-handers still, but we're going to throw more right-handers than usual. And he had a trio of strikeouts with that change-up to the lefties. He had three more strikeouts on the curveball of the lefties.

And against right-handers, he actually didn't have the greatest attack.

It was four seamers upstairs, chain-ups down, fine.

Between the two, there were 13 whiffs on the day.

Three more with the curve.

But it worked enough against their right-handers.

And the crazy thing about this is I'm looking at the schedule for Atlanta.

They have Spencer Strider and Chris Sale as the last two of those rotation.

As of right now, Hurston Waldrop, then Elder, then Wentz, then of course, Strider in Sale.

And I'm realizing they likely don't want Spencer Strider and Chris Sale to make those two final

starts of the year.
