as he went six innings zero runs five hits zero walks I don't know 14 strikeouts yes 14

strikeouts and 18 outs for Max Meyer in 92 pitches. He went 24 whiffs

with a 49% CSW. I don't think I've ever seen a 50% CSW guy. There have been a lot that

have hinted over the years. We had a 48% earlier this year, I believe it was from either, I think it was Max Fried

who might have done it. Um, but maybe it was so, I can't remember who it was, but this was 49.

This is the top of the year. Oh my gosh. How did he do this? Well, his slider and his four

steamer. Yes, they were up two to three ticks from last year. So we got 9091 on the slider,

95 on the fastballs. Love to see that.

But boy, that slider, 16 for 40 whiffs on it. His change of a to 53% CSWs. He threw this against lefties with 84% strikes, 39% usage to left-handed batters. The fastballs had over 80% strikes on their own.

This is what happened here.

The slider was just thrown a ton, about 40% usage, if not 45%, obviously effective.

The fastballs and the change-up were just in the zone constantly.

The sweeper came in and earned strikes.

I mean, he was just in the zone, but they didn't know what was going to be there, and they kept

missing on the slider because the slider's filthy. I mean, it's that easy. Just throw tons of

strikes and have a filthy slider, and you're great. I have also a really good change up that is added this year. I don't know if this
