There are actually some really sneaky guys on the Cardinals you might not know about. Unfortunately,

none of them are in the rotation at the moment. So Sonny Gray might not get enough love for what he does.

30% strike out rate last year, PLV projections. Don't like it.

It says more of a 23, 24% strikeout rate.

I might push back slightly on that one just because what Sunny Gray did with that was so cool

was he has his sweeper down and into lefties

really effectively at a massive put-away rate and we also have the backdoor slider to

sinker to right-handers which also became a major play for him against right, against righteers for strikeouts going up.

I do agree that the put away rate on the sinker

should come down for Sunny Gray.

So that's weird.

And we had a 40% put away rate

on that singer to right handers.

So that's not gonna stick.

Fine, but is it all the way down on 23? I don't know about

that. Long story short, though. He's probably going to be like a 25, 26% strikeout rate guy.

He might have those days where the sweeper isn't performing as well as we wanted to. The

curbble isn't quite there. The cut fastball that really acts like a mini cutter should be located inside two lefties.

And he doesn't do it.

It kind of does it more to righties than lefties.
