baseball specifically the Washington Nationals, their entire rotation and tons of prospects.

This is actually one of the more fun parts of doing these breakdowns is that it's when I do my

research for prospects for the year and actually start to realize who are the guys on every single

team that matter etc I have a top 100 that I put out actually because it's just the

humiliation of all the guys that I have looked at during these breakdowns and actually what

you're going to get today is a lot of that so stick around this is going to be like a 20 25 minute one easily but we'll start with mackenzie gore

the most relevant starter on the Washington nationals and last year he had a first half and a second half

they're completely different he had the first half where he was just striking out so many guys looked

like that guy i was really excited for the second half and then he fell off completely there are a few things

about Gore that I don't like for next year one this is gonna be for all the

nationals bad team contacts you don't have a good win chance you do not have a

good defense that defense behind him was a minus 22 outs above average 26 in

the majors and that did lead to Gore's

fourth percentile babb. Now it's not to say that that's the only reason why they were fastball

hunting is essentially it, but it did not help him whatsoever. The four seamer jumped to

in velocity to 96 and even 97 sitting at times from about 95 in change and then

that fell down to 95 96 by the end of the year and that was one of the elements that really

did tail off for Gore but it was a case of where the secondaries just weren't consistent

and you didn't really know on a given day is Gore going to have that slider down into

righties is going to have a comfortable curve over strikes or that change up to help out
