Well, so can you tell us, you know, your background and your journey to the flotilla,

how you ended up, you know, on this boat somewhere in the Mediterranean on route to Gaza?

Yeah, absolutely.

Okay.

So my family are Palestinian, for my dad's family.

And I can talk to you briefly about their predicament.

They've lived in East Jerusalem in the Mountain of Olives for at least 150 years.

They can trace the family ancestry back that far.

And where it starts to come in more in focus as a kind of family history is around

1948, so in Nakapa. My grandfather, my dad's dad, was shot in the head

by the Palmak, so one of the terror gangs that later formed the IDF. And miraculously,

he survived. I mean, by some insane alchemy, he didn't die.

But basically, he was transferred to a field hospital that the Red Crescent were operating just outside Jaffa.

And they ambushed the hospital and they tried to kill him again in the hospital and he escaped again.

So that's my grandfather.

He was, as I say, shot in the head, must have been a pretty crappy gun.

I don't know because it just kind of, it just kind of didn't kill him.
