And we're so happy to have you here with us. On today's show, we're going to be discussing

Power Animals and Animal Guides with our guest Lori Morrison, who's the author of The

Shaman's Guide to Power Animals. Lori has studied for years with Mayan and Haitian Shaman's.

By merging and forming a sacred relationship with animal spirits, she is able to support her

clients with insight and change through her cutting-edge, Shamanic counseling practice in

Sedona, Arizona, where she resides. So welcome so much to our show Lori. I'd love for you to start

by rooting us in your story. How did you go from being an entrepreneur to an intuitive

Shaman writer and teacher? Well, that is a very interesting story. I ended up moving to a

Salvador about 30 years ago and I had met my husband who was from there and went back and started a

very entrepreneurial life there. And he died and a year later was my 52nd birthday. We lived in a

we lived in a very remote place in El Salvador. It was on a lake called Lake Yloponco and we lived

on 80 acres and there was a kind of large peninsula that jetted out into this lake. I didn't

know it at the time but the 52nd birthday for all of us is when the Gregorian calendar, which is

the calendar that we use now, intersects with the Mayan calendar. And that day is usually a day when

a portal opens for change, for transformation, for kind of an up, you know, kind of leveling up.

That day was my birthday, which was the 50th, my 52nd birthday. So that day I had a very unique

experience when I walked outside. A little rain cloud formed above my head and rained on me. And

my cook at the time was in the kitchen and saw what was happening, game running out. And we were

just both, they're looking at each other completely and found it. I also started to see beams of

light around the property and we didn't know what that meant either. So that particular day,
