Tell us what that means and what you mean by a Colony in a Nation.

The line comes from a phrase in a Richard Nixon 1968 speech,

almost a sort of throwaway line about how black people want the same as white people.

They don't want to be a Colony in a Nation.

And it struck me at a moment that I was doing a lot of reporting on policing,
