As always, I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here on the hump day edition of the yard.

Guys, we're in the college baseball frenzy right now.

Just a few days left in the regular season.

It's a very exciting time of year, especially for us because we're playing meaningful baseball

here in the month of May.

It's so interesting.

You look back at this time last year, we're getting ready to play Texas A&M, hey, we win

the series, we go to Hoover and even that, you know, we'd have to go to Hoover and win the

tournament to get to an NCAA regional and I here we are a year later

You take care of business this weekend you're hosting a regional you don't take care of business this weekend

You're still in a regional you're still in the field at Hoover

There's a lot to unpack for sure

But it's a proof positive that Mississippi

State is on their way back to where we should be and always be. Listen, I get it.

Sometimes you have a down year, but what our fans, our players, our program, our

coaches have endured the last two years is very unbecoming for

Mississippi State. It's not anything that we're going to ever get comfortable with. We're never

going to sit back and say, well, that's okay. You know, after 2022, you said, well, you know, we won

it in 21 and had a little bit of a hangover. And while nobody will ever admit it, I truly believe

that we were maybe a little bit too,
