Hello, ladies. Welcome to Among the Lillies. This is a show for ladies that are tired of

pretending and are ready to be real. I want to talk to you today about pots. I know that

I've talked to a lot of people with pots and it's surprising me how many people have

pots and I'm often getting asked for advice. What do you do? What don't you do? What do

you use to help you with pots? So for those of you that don't know, I just call it pots,

but it stands for postural, orthostatic, tacky, cardiac syndrome. That's why I don't say

the whole thing, but that's what it stands for. Basically, what it is is I have an issue

with my blood pressure that it often goes low and when I change positions between sitting

like I am now in standing or laying down my heart races and my blood pressure plummets.

And so sometimes just going from this position to standing, if I do it very quickly, sometimes

my heart will race and it feels like I just ran a marathon, even though I simply stood

up. For me, one of the times in particular, my, sorry, my son is on the computer and he's

sending me messages. So I'm just going to turn that off because it's going to keep vibrating.

I don't know if you can hear it or not, but I want to give you some of some of the things

I use to help manage my pots. I think so normally you get a lot of people have pots post

COVID. So either after having COVID or if they had some type of infection, I got mine.

I'm pretty sure, gosh, six years ago, five years ago, I went septic and almost died from

a septic infection. And I was hospitalized. I was in the ICU for 10 days and then came

out and I was in the hospital for like a month. But when I came out of the ICU, I couldn't

walk. I had a lot of neurological stuff, but hindsight, I also had pots. But I think

it was before it was being diagnosed. And so I got diagnosed a couple of years ago, like

two years ago. And it was actually mother in Italia, who was on, Matt's, was on Pines
