This is the baseball tonight podcast for Monday, October 9, 2023, and today will be better

than yesterday.

I'm Buster only working from Bristol, Connecticut and doing baseball tonight all week on the network

and Taylor.

I got to say I was feeling foreign Sunday, Taylor Schwank or a huge Orioles fan, we've talked

about it since you joined the show, your love for the Orioles, you dreamed of a playoff

game in Camden Yards, we got two over the weekend, they didn't go so well, they didn't

know that it was your birthday, okay, they should have won at least one of these games

over the weekend too, as a gift for your birthday.

I know my birthday, my banged up foot, I really needed some an Orioles W in my life, but

it was not meant to be Saturday, really frustrating Sunday, I mean, they played one of the worst

games of the entire season, which is a bad timing for where they're at down O2 now.

Yeah, it was an ugly game on Sunday for sure, and we're going to have a conversation about

pitching, scripting the teams are doing, we've seen examples of that in this post season

we've seen examples of it working for teams, and examples of it not working for teams,

Boogchombi and I are going to have a conversation about that, where do you fall on that Taylor?

On the idea, we saw last week with the Toronto Blue Jays, they pulled it Jose Boreos after

47 pitches, one of these pitching grade, you know, Bradish starts game one for the Orioles,

they pull him out, what seemed to be a scripting moment, and on the flip side, yet Bruce Boche,

the Rangers manager, kind of riding out Cody Bradford watching him pitch well and just

leaving him out there.
