We will get back to our normal Monday schedule, but with the new year and some other stuff going on, we've had to sort of move things around, but we will be back to our normal time pretty soon. My name is Chris Crawford. I am joined by my good buddy, Ryan Boyer. We've got some headlines to talk about. There was quite a bit that happened over the last week.

But we also, we've been super positive on this show talking about breakouts and stuff like that.

We're going to take some negatives this time.

We're going to go on the other side of the spectrum and look at some players, but we think might be disappointments for 2024.

But let's start with those headlines.

The Giants got better.

Jordan Hicks and Imanaga both join the San Francisco Giants,

the most recent one being Jordan Hicks on a four-year,

$44 million contract.

I'ma to the Cubs.

Yes. That is what I screwed up and I knew I was going to screw up. I was, I just had it in my head. He thought he was going to go to the Giants, but he. I thought he was going to go to the Giants. I thought he was going to get a weird contract with the Cubs instead. See, and this is why they pay you the big bucks is because you correct me when I say absolutely insane things

a minute and 10 seconds into the podcast. Jordan Hicks, though, the most interesting thing here

is that he's going to be from all reports, getting to the Giants as a starting pitcher,

four year, $44 million contract. Ryan, I don't think there's any question this guy has the stuff to start.

How excited are you about him from a fantasy perspective as a starter, though?

Not terribly.

I think we were all surprised to see, you know, Jeff, Jeff Passen broke the news about the signing

in also that the Giants were going to planing to use him as a starter.

I know Hicks is, even while he was in the middle of pitching really well last year,

just kind of professed the desire to get a shot to start again.

And he got a nice contract as well, so good for him.

The one time they did, the Cardinals did try to use him as a starter.
