Hello, welcome to another special edition of Inside the Birds.

0:12.6

Jeff Mosher here, and we bring back our analytics and contract expert, Sam Finkel.

0:18.2

We are getting closer to NFL free agency.

0:21.2

It begins Monday at noon with the legal tampering period, which we all know is more than legal

0:26.4

tampering.

0:27.0

A lot of contracts will be out there and into the public arena as soon as that deadline starts.

0:33.1

And then the true new league year, Sam begins 4 o'clock Wednesday.

0:38.7

By that point, everybody knows where all the big name guys are going. What we're going to do in this kind of a two-part episode

0:44.1

here, we're going to talk about a couple more Eagles in-house free agents. We already did the big four.

0:49.2

We want to talk about Isaiah Rogers. We want to talk about Orrin Berks, two guys who could be

0:53.5

of importance to the Eagles. And then we also are going to talk about Orrin Burks, two guys who could be of importance to the

0:54.5

Eagles. And then we also are going to talk about Darius Slay, who the Eagles intend to release,

0:59.7

but could be brought back or could find a job somewhere else. And then in the next part,

1:04.9

because of Rogers and Slay's uncertainty, we'll just get into the cornerback picture altogether

1:10.2

in free agency and see what it looks like because the Eagles will probably need a body there or two, especially if Slay and Rogers don't come back.

1:18.8

So let's start with the in-house guys.

1:21.1

It's different, right, when you were doing guys like Rogers and Berks or in Berks because unlike the sweats and the milton williams and the beckins

1:30.6

these guys are not starters so their snaps are different you know you specialize in predictive

1:35.4

modeling what's it how different is it when you're going on guys who have limited snaps yeah

1:40.7

it's definitely tougher uh especially because there's as much smaller sample size.

1:45.1

So you have to kind of extrapolate a little bit of the data, like through the data.

1:48.7

And you also need to look at kind of more the average.
