interesting because on the day after the Miami Heat's wheels fall off and the Celtic

skyrocket past them to what looks like a different future unless the Miami Heat makes some changes.

It's being reported now by Anthony Chang of the Miami Herald that Jimmy Butler's potential extension is going to put the heat

because of what Butler wants in the position of deciding right now whether they want to extend Jimmy Butler until he's 37 years old

for around 58 million dollars a season and it's going to eat up a lot of salary cap and you're going to be in the same

position and you might have a situation where everything with Jimmy Butler comes to a head and they have to find different value for him because they decide that they don't want to give one of those contracts and that they decide the window has closed and then you make some decisions about

whether you're willing to pay him and those legs until he's 37 when you've

taken so much out of those legs do me the favor and make sure that Amin addresses this tomorrow because we've lost

him for oddball and I want to get his expertise on this as someone who's a front office person.

The interesting note on this extension is it so as a two year

113 million dollar extension would be the max this would also buy Jimmy out of a

player option so he already has a player option,

so he already has a player option in one of those seasons

at 52 million dollars.

So all this would do is increase that from 52 to around 58

and get you one extra year of Jimmy Butler.

Now we don't know whether...

Right, no, the question would be is, is that one year going to be a productive

year? Is that one year going to be, hey we've got all this money and we use

him as a salary filler two years down the line to go get him for somebody else? But it's not two

extra years of Jimmy. His player option is already there there so essentially you're asking do you want to extend the Jimmy and BAM together build for one extra season on top of the
