There has been a development in a story that I've been following closely, which is involving

the Colosseum in Rome.

Apparently, a tourist in June etched his initials and his girlfriend's initials into the brick

wall or stone wall at the Colosseum.

And the Italian government is not happy and they want to find him and arrest him.

And the person has been identified.

He is a British tourist, which I knew he was not American because he carved the date

and he went day, month, year instead of month, day, year, which it doesn't even really

make sense that you'd put the day first because you got to put the month first so I know

what time of year we're talking about before you give me the day.

It's one thing that the rest of the world has wrong that we have right.

I digress.

He wrote an apology letter to the Italian government saying, I'm sorry.

I didn't know how old this monument was.

Oh, that was his excuse.

He said, I admit with profound embarrassment that only after what regretfully happened,

did I learn of the antiquity of the monument.

So he thought it was like a cool thing from like maybe like the 80s or something.

Each of the Roman Colosseums?

Yes, he thought it was just a 2000 year old Roman Colosseum.

He thought it was a 40 year old neglected building.
