along here with former Michigan defensive lineman Ryan Van Buren. We are here after a 2818 Michigan victory

over Arkansas State to close out non-conference play. And I think the best way to put it would be, you know, I thought defensively,

Michigan more or less handled its business.

You know, the backups came in late in the game and Arkansas State puts together a few

drives.

But offensively, I think you leave this game feeling pretty good about your run game.

I think you leave this game seeing some better things up front on the offensive line.

The quarterback situation hangs over this team like a cloud right now.

And the way that this schedule sets up, where every two weeks or so is one of these showdown, you know,

litmus test type of games, you'll leave non-conference play with more questions and answers

at the quarterback position. Ryan Van Bergen, before we get into the show, I mean, your initial

thoughts on this game, you know, as a whole.

I'm glad we came away with a win.

And I feel like it's tough to be optimistic about how this team's going to look moving forward with what we've seen through the first three weeks.

There were some positives from today. I do think the offensive line kind of

got some rhythm in the second half, and our running game got a little bit of rhythm in the second

half. Defensively, we did a job. I don't know how well we did it, but we did a job. And my thoughts are kind of coming now to the realization that we have

fallen from the top of the mountain a little bit in terms of the talent level we have on the

field in terms of coaches that are familiar with who who they have as their players and what

they want to do with those players.

And my expectations are now tempered.
