Matthew Collar here, Dane Mizatani in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and the New York Giants slash Jets press box there following a football game that definitely happened between two teams.

And what we will take out of it is one really good throw by Max Brosmer, an injury for

J.J. McCarthy, and probably not a whole lot else. But certainly the injury that happened to J.J. McCarthy to his hand is

where we shall begin. Dane, how serious does it feel like J.J. McCarthy's injury is?

Yeah, I mean, it's hard to say because right after the game, talking to Kevin O'Connell,

he really didn't give that much updates. I guess that's not totally out of the norm for Kevin O'Connell. He don't

normally get the full injury breakdown other than what the injury was until the Monday after.

He did say X-rays were negative, so that's good.

It's not a broken hand.

I thought seeing that clip that was circulating around on social media,

of him on the sideline, wincing in pain,

like to me, that looked like a broken hand, in my very non-expert opinion.

But like to hear that it was not broken, x-rays are negative, good starting baseline.

But he also didn't say, yeah, we expect to have him on Christmas Day against the Lions.

And of course, quick turnaround adds to the unknowns, less than 96 hours to kick off now.

How quickly is he going to be able to turn over?

That's the question.

So I guess it's not a catastrophic injury in that it was announced after the game to be broken because it's not.

Like I said, x-rays are negative.

But at the same time, he didn't finish the game.

I saw him in the locker room.
