Hey, everybody, welcome into the Purple Insider Postgame show for the Minnesota Vikings.

0:11.3

The show, as always presented by Fanduel, Matthew Collar here, along with Dane Mizatani

0:16.3

at Lambo Field, where we just witnessed the Vikings lose 23 to 6.

0:22.7

And, you know, coming down here, Dane, as I was driving down, I thought, well, you know what?

0:26.9

Maybe we'll see is a grinded out, gritty type of game that comes down to Will Rikert's foot.

0:33.3

That was my prediction heading into this game that the Vikings would run the ball like crazy,

0:38.4

get three or four plays from J.J. McCarthy, and then kick their way to victory because they had

1:30.2

we do need to have that discussion about the special teams coach if they're going to every

1:34.9

single week make hugely costly mistakes. But all of that feels like deck chairs on the Titanic

1:41.6

in comparison to the way that McCarthy played.

1:44.6

And after the game, a lot of the players tried to say, we all need to be better, we all need

1:49.1

to band together, we all need to lock in, a lot of platitudes that players say when the

1:53.5

quarterback is nowhere close to being good enough to help his team win.

1:59.7

And this was the first time, though, I think that I saw McCarthy, to me, look like unplayable.

2:05.6

There were certainly times where he was airmailing passes against the Chicago Bears,
