Wisconsin where Penn State improved to seven and no, I'm back here and Happy Valley.

Watch the matchup with many of you on the television broadcast and it was a journey for all of us.

Penn State for the third time through seven matchups reached half time facing a

deficit. It was 10 to 7 a late touchdown for the Wisconsin Badgers.

They will put them ahead. There was a lot of momentum building for them in Camp Randall Stadium at halftime.

We'll set the stage there in just a bit, but this is going to be a conversation largely dominated by

quarterbacks. And I just want to acknowledge Daniel this defense yet again

came out with a sterling second half of play limited Wisconsin at three points

after halftime they've given up six points in the third quarter now through seven

matchups. That's substantial and another tip of the cap to Tom Allen because I know there's been some moments in

spans of concern regarding what this defense looks like after Mani Diaz and what it can be over the course of this year. They showed up and in a moment where they needed some answers and Boerbula gave them one, but this defense was ready to stand tall.

I know I feel like we've gone through a couple of these podcasts where we'll be 35 minutes in and then suddenly it's like oh yeah the defense that they were good too. So but I think starting with the defenses is very apt because we you talk about

this game flow you know the Penn State offense went through a pretty bad pretty bad stagnant period in that first half and you know you but the defense stood up it got the stops that needed to and then you saw something similar in the second half where the Penn State defense finally got the big play with the pick six and after that they were really really, really in control.

After the game, I talked to Jay Lynn Reed for a little while.

And I asked them, what changed for Wisconsin after that?

Pick six because I know they got the field goal to get back to

14 13 but they just never really seemed to have it again and he said that their

energy changed after that.

That was just a very, very deflating play

for that Wisconsin offense.

And I think that things came together really nicely
