steve jaco the flyers fall three2 in overtime to be swept by the Carolina Hurricanes out of the second round of the playoffs.

It was an effort to get back into this game, to stay in this game, to force overtime, but ultimately the Flyers did not have enough

to win a single game of this series. And it's a bummer. It had to end this way a heartbreaker

for Vladar to give up the goal the way he did.

You know, he was going to eventually give up a goal that lost him this series because that's what happens when you're down 3-0 in a series.

But I think someone was going to score a game winner eventually,

but for it to be this way in overtime, popping off the glove,

just getting behind him a bummer. We saw decent effort from

the boys tonight. I don't think they left anything out there. I don't think this was a,

you know, we talked about, I think maybe the last time they were swept, 2011, the Bruin series.

I think that sounds right. And that game four was just like, yeah, we're contractually obligated to be here.

That's not how it felt tonight.

They were outshot 40 to 17.

The special teams, while the penalty kill stepped up, the power play remains, you know,

like the biggest issue for this team to fix in the immediate

coming off season, which begins, you know, right now at 940 on May 9th.

Just, I didn't want it to end this way.
