Summary

It was good to see the Philadelphia Flyers remembered they have to score more goals than their opponents, and they recognized the best way to do that is by taking considerably more shots. Well, on Wednesday night, the Flyers took a season-high 39 shots on goal en route to a 4-3 win over the New York Rangers, restoring peace and balance to the universe and setting themselves on a course towards the playoffs.  Claude Giroux announced his return to the lineup with authority, picking up 3 assists, registering 8 shots on goal and winning 73% of his faceoffs, while Erik Gustafsson and Shayne Gostisbehere each notched their first goals of the season. Other stuff happened- JVR scored, so did Kevin Hayes. Chris Kreider accounted for all the Rangers' offense, scoring a hat trick- the second Philly has allowed in as many games. Brian Elliott was good enough to get the win. Hockey was played, etc.  Anyway, click play and listen to the postgame. Then listen to it on another device, too.  Learn more about your ad choices.
