Hello and welcome to the first ever episode of Three Beans Salad. I am Mike, also in Three Beans

Salad. The other Beans are going to introduce himself in a budget. Henry Packer,

and we will be discussing a thing. This is just completely coincidental, but I did

actually soak a packet of mixed beans last night. That's exactly the sort of thing we won't

be talking about on this show, because it's not a bean themed show. I bought a packet of beans

in a supermarket of dry beans. It was a bean mix. Lots of different colours of beans. They look

quite gorgeous at that point, quite attractive. They look a bit like jelly beans, but they're not

the nature's beans, right? I soaked them overnight because there's so much work you have to put

into beans. Anyway, I did it. I soaked them overnight this morning. I then had to boil them for

an hour and a quarter, and at the end of all that, all you end up with is just like a bunch of

beans. It's such a high maintenance product for what it is, which is a load of beans. And also,

in that anecdote, quite innately illustrates the nature of this podcast is that we're going to be

discussing all sorts of things, a topic. I knew it was called Three Beans Salad. I didn't realise

that we were talking principally about beans. No, no. This is where the introduction has already

gone very wrong, although it did illustrate that the point that there won't necessarily be any big

payoffs, just as has been illustrated by Henry's bean character. Although, having said that,
