Jazz only scheduled four preseason games, so they got a little extra tonight for free.

They fall to the Spurs, but a lot to learn from preseason game number two.

in overtime, 134, 130. But lots of minutes played for guys, Ron. Taylor played 34. Ace Bailey

played 39. Kiante played 35. Cody Williams, 25 minutes. And Bryce Sinsaba about 28. Walter Clayton played 33 minutes.

So the youngsters got a lot of time, a lot of experience tonight. What were your takeaways?

Well, my takeaway was they went in overtime. I mean, they didn't give up. They start to make some good plays.

And we got a chance to see some young guys in pressure situations.

Give them the ball, see what they can do, see how they execute.

I mean, coaches will be looking at probably the last quarter and be looking at more

execution, not so much of how they scored and all that kind of stuff, but he'll be looking

more at the execution and how they were able to try to get it done. Just to put the game in a fair capsule of what actually took place. The jazz 3430 at the end of one, then the jazz who are short-handed without three-seven footers went to their kind of low second. On the same thing happening at Houston, they allowed 38 points in the second quarter. They were kind of blown out by that point 72.55. Victor Webben Yama was dominant when he

was on the floor. He does not play the second half, nor does Kelton Johnson, nor is Harrison

Barnes. Devin Vassell doesn't play much. John Penny doesn't play much. And the spurs now go to a group

of guys that are both basically two-way contracts

or guys trying to make the roster. And at that point, the Jazz worked their way back from being

down as many as 17 at the half. They trail by five at the end of three and they work it all the way

back to get it to overtime. And then they actually end up getting beat by former Salt Lake Stars player

David Jones Garcia,

who in 17 minutes had 20 points to close it out.

So it's a little bit of a mixed bag of analysis because the most recent stuff we're thinking
