Summary

The San Francisco 49ers were officially eliminated from playoff contention today, falling 29-17 to the Miami Dolphins. They were actually eliminated just minutes prior to kickoff after the Washington Commanders beat the Philadelphia Eagles, making the result of this one somewhat meaningless. The Miami Dolphins did a lot of creative things on offense today, heavily involving their running backs in both the run and pass game. For today at least, Mike McDaniel surpassed his teacher, Kyle Shanahan, in play calling creativity.
