And now, postcards from planet Earth, from Flip and Mosey.

Greetings, Maternal Program. It is I, Flip, writing too, because I have discovered something fascinating on this planet called Earth.

The bipedal screen-watching Earthlings known as humans have a truly fascinating and slightly disturbing

cultural phenomenon that occurs annually.

Every year, as the planet's rotation pulls it away from the sun, a large portion of Earthlings experience a period of

colder temperatures on their planet's surface. And this is known as winter. During this time, many

earthlings go into hibernation mode. But the two-legged screenwatchers actually seem to celebrate this.

It is something called the holiday season, and it includes a mandatory positive attitude towards other humans.

It also includes strange customs, like bringing outdoor shrubbery inside your dwelling, or gathering together to set small sticks on fire.

But the most confusing custom is the exchange of colorful boxes that contain pointless objects.

And when it is time to refuel with what they call food,

they all sit around a large piece of furniture

and place a dead table bird in the center,

which is sometimes snuggled with vegetables and potatoes.
