All right. Hello and welcome to the Pink Bike podcast. I've got Stefan and Dario here, freshly back from Seattle. Well, Dario's not even back. He's still at Seater. He lives there now. I'm in the pit still. I couldn't leave. Yeah. But today we're going to do a little quick check and just kind of get a recap of Seattle. See what went down. How did it go? How was the overall, the overall feel of Seattle? We've seen your your randoms by now but what was like the uh i don't like the word vibe the attitude what was the

attitude on the ground i like the word vibe it's too trendy i don't like trendy words i like to keep

my vernacular and like the strict you know yeah but we'd be using vibes since like the 60s right

you know it's like and the vibes were I would say

the vibes were high the vibes were high to use the word that you hate but uh yeah the energy was really

good it felt like really really well attended which was cool to see and um I felt like there was a lot

of optimism and like excitement kind of a surprising amount actually yeah I felt like there was a lot of optimism and, like, excitement.

Kind of a surprising amount, actually.

Yeah, I feel like, you know, the COVID years and, like, that backlog and it's definitely

not been super easy times in the industry of late, but it felt like that was, you know, maybe

starting to get in the rear view and people were just excited. Yeah. There's also the element of like, I'm sure. I was going to say, I was going to say, did you have very many conversations about actually riding bikes? Because that's one thing. Every time it's Seattle is always funny because some people don't talk about riding. They're just like about their product. you're like like, have you been on any good bike rides where there people seem like they're

actually riding their bikes now too?

Yeah.

I mean, that's how you, to use the word again, that's how you vibe check the booth is like whether they only want to talk about bike parts or whether they're talking about the actual activity that we're all here for. I would say that last year there was like that whole like a pallor of tariff fears that kind of overwhelmed the whole thing. And this year, I mean, either you've figured that out or you've stopped shipping to the U.S. And, you know, if most people are over that hurdle, I think there's a bit more of an even keeled feel to everything.

Definitely a few companies that are struggling, but like not profoundly, at least, you know, no one's going to be like, hey, we're at sea otter.

We're about to go out of business.

Right.

You know, no one's projecting that, but it felt good. I think as stuff said, like tons and tons of people were there beyond the booths. Like there were more booths that I can see in four days. But more so, it was just really well attended by people like the consumers and mountain bikers. So it was cool. I mean, that's the kind of a neat thing about that event. Like a lot of the trade shows,

historically like even Eurobike and those don't feel like they're as consumer facing. But Seattle's great because it's outside. You could roll up if you're just into bikes and go get some stickers and try to get free stuff and actually talk to people from different companies. It's pretty neat. Yeah. It's cool that it's grown to the way it has. I mean, there were a couple of years

we felt like Seattle could go away, but I do think it just makes sense to have a nice kickoff to the season. You get to be outside and see stuff and kind of, you know. It felt like the first day of school almost. Like after summer break and you're like seeing everyone you haven't seen since. I love it. A lot of these people you only see a couple times a year, but you work with them or chat

to them all year long.

So it's like, yeah, there's a lot of fist bumps, a lot of hugs.
