That concludes the sixth public hearing, that emergency hearing with that surprise witness right there, Cassidy Hutchinson, the executive assistant to Mark Meadows, Chief of Staff at the White House, who as we saw in graphics provided by this panel,

was situated right in the heart of it between the vice president, Chief of Staff, and the president himself, and she seems to have been privy to quite a few pretty important conversations from what she testified to.

Liz Cheney, the vice chair of the committee a moment ago saying that what Miss Hutchinson has done today is not easy, and no it was not.

Also noting that a number of witnesses have been called by people in Trump world, telling them to continue to stay in good graces, protect who you need to protect, Trump reads transcripts, tampering.

I think that was what it would be called.

Andrea, what I am struck by today is what I have been struck by as we've watched these for the past few weeks now. They're laying out in detail, as you can see Cassidy Hutchinson, leave that hearing room, laying out in detail, what Trump knew and when he knew it, and today we got a whole lot.

He knew it could get violent on January 6th. He knew that the people at his rally were armed, take down the magnetometers, he said, they're not there to hurt me.

He knew that he wanted to go to the Capitol. He tried to go to the Capitol at one point, Cassidy Hutchinson testifying that he grabbed the steering wheel of his motorcade, the beast, his vehicle, and then lunch for the clavicle of his top secret service agent.

He didn't care that they were chanting, hang Mike Pence, as Cassidy Hutchinson has testified. He didn't want to tell him to go home, the rioters to go home.

He had to be convinced of it by multiple people, the lawyers, his family, his aides, Sean Hannity. He didn't want to do it, and he knew all along is what she testified to today.

Katie, the significance of Cassidy Hutchinson, she was at the ellipse, she was backstage, she was interacting with Mark Meadows, and her testimony about Mark Meadows, and shutting the door of the secure vehicle twice when she tried to get him information during a 25-minute period, trying to get critical information, security information to the chief of staff.

But so importantly, she was in the White House, the door to the small dining room, and to call it a dining room, it's a very small room where the president can have lunch, can have small loops in.

It's a small room off the Oval Office, that door was open, so she was hearing what Mark Meadows, what Pat Sipaloni was saying, the White House Council.

And I want to bring you a little bit of bring all of us a little bit of what she testified to, because this was when during those 187 minutes, they were trying to get the president to say something, to call them off, that Jim Jordan and other allies in the Hill were calling, Kevin McCarthy, and he didn't want to.

And in fact, that he agreed with the hang Mike Pence chance of the crowd, so let's listen to that, and we'll talk about it on the other side.

I remember Pat saying something to the effect of Mark Meadows, to do something more, they're literally calling for the vice president to be having home.

Knowing what I had heard briefly in the dining room, coupled with Pat discussing to hang Mike Pence chance in the lobby of our office, and Mark responds, I understood there to be the writers in the Capitol that were chanting for the vice president to be home.

Let me pause here on this point, as rioters chanted, hang Mike Pence, the president of the United States, Donald Trump said that quote, Mike deserves it, and that those rioters were not doing anything wrong.

This is a sentiment that he is expressed at other times as well.
