Well, Jurgen Club had warned his Liverpool players to expect a real scrap here at the John Smith Stadium tonight

and that's exactly what they got.

Liverpool had to dig really deep to emerge triumphant Mo Salas first half strike

ultimately proving to be the difference and it was tough on Huddersfield who put up a real fight loads of endeavor from them but you know

ultimately what cost them was what's cost them repeatedly

so far this season which is a lack of punch in the final third and

Liverpool again it was you know another one for the the winning ugly

account it was you know it's been a lot of talk about cop trying to get Liverpool

to get back to the fluency and the attacking swagger of last season and

certainly the search for that goes on.

I think it was probably unlikely it was going to happen here today just because of the

circumstances I think with the international break, Clop only getting his full squad back together again on

Thursday and with the injuries as well with Marne and Kita being out and

other players that did play today that have been carrying knocks earlier on in the week so not ideal

preparation and again you know where you've got to give Liverpool credit for

for grinding it out because yeah it wasn't particularly pretty or inspiring to watch but you know they they talk about

Any team serious about competing for titles has to have that knack of of winning when not at their best and

Liverpool have certainly done that so far this season. I think they can't keep on

doing it at some point of course if they're if they're going to wrestle that top flight

crown for Man City's grasp then they're going to have to have to play better but

you know it's a massively positive situation they find themselves in where you could you could pick that
