Welcome along everyone to the Post game podcast on the Bloodbead channel courtesy of the

Liverpool Echo. I'm Patrick Smith and you join me shortly after Liverpool were held to a

goalla straw by Chelsea at Anfield in a match that had its moments but was largely frustrating

and disappointing for the Reds. There are many positives to take such as a clean

sheet but also some negatives to counteract those that I'm sure our guests on

today's pod will cover.

Up first is the Liverpool echoes Paul Gorsch Manfield with his verdict before

The Liverpool has moved up to 8 in the Premier League after a gold

of draw here against Chelsea at Anfield but the real story is that the top four

hopes have taken yet another dent with the failure to take away maximum points here

as Anfield hosted its first Premier League game of the calendar year.

They moved up to eight, they remained nine points off fourth. New cashionises of course,

we've got that spot at the moment and at the moment you'd have to say that

Liverpool are really struggling to put together any sort of run that would indicate that they are capable

of hauling back Newcastle in the second half of this season.

Chelsea not in great form themselves they are still down in

10th and in truth it was a game that showed exactly why both of these sides have had

a difficult season and why they are middling somewhere around the middle of the Premier League table at the moment.

Not too many chances for either the team.
