Hello there, I'm Chuck Tadd. I just got off the meat the press set here. It is still Sunday.

And we just wrapped up interviews with the Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and

Arkansas Governor Aisa Hutchinson. I'm sitting here now with Garrett Hakey as our senior

capital hill correspondent. We're going to talk a little bit about the show. We just wrapped

up what we learned since we're going to try to add to some reporting as we go along.

So Garrett, it is, it's funny, it's like this week was the week everybody panicked about

the supply chain and the economy and inflation. It feels like it, the inflation issue has

been sitting out there. Republicans have been bouncing on it. It's a big problem to talk

about.

We'll try to talk about it.

You're hit and you have all these, oh no, I always love this. Some Democratic economist

going, but it's only temporary. Yeah, but I'm temporarily paying more.

Right. You know, I pay more today. I pay more today. Maybe I'll pay less tomorrow,

but because street tells me that isn't how it works. And now it does seem there, somewhat

engaged, but it's a very light engagement. Like Bootage is basically, hey, we did make

a point of it, but we're not going to do these other more extreme measures yet.

Well, I don't think they want to own it, right? I mean, if you choose to engage with

it in a more complete way and you're unable to solve it, then it's really your problem.

And if they kind of look at it side long and say we're going to take these kind of smaller

measures, but oh, by the way, you know, there's only so much we can control. They'll get trapped

in owning a thing that they don't have a solution for. And that was the sense I got.

Right. We're on top of it. But it's not us. Right. You know, this is a private sector
