Hello there, I'm Chuck Todd. I just stepped off the meat depressed set. We had a

busy show today. I interviewed the House Intel Republican Chairman Mike Turner.

We had Senator Cory Booker and we had the Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg's

White House asked Pete Buttigieg to be on for State of the Union. We invited

Cory Booker to police reform, but obviously the balloon became a story for

everybody. It was shot down by a fighter jet on Saturday. So I'm sitting here

now with Amy Walther. She's published an editor in chief of the Cook Political

Report and Amy, I'm gonna give a little bit. You and I were talking before we

started taping. I thought Mike Turner came with a lot of interesting takes about

this incident. I was and he's not alone here. I'm just been surprised at the

lack of benefit of the doubt the administration's getting from people in

positions of authority. You know, it's sort of like it felt abrupt. Well, and it

felt like something that someone who is I won't call it necessarily a back

bancher, but maybe somebody who is not in a position of as much leadership or

someone who has as much information as the chairman does about the realities of

what it means to be and what it takes to sit on the intelligence committee. You

have access to a great deal of information. You understand the world. He really

exactly. You understand the world in a way that so many other members of

Congress do not and appreciate that. It is also has been traditionally one of

the more bipartisan committees. I do think though that well, the Adam Schiff
