As you're making your way from the CBC Studios back home, after the Montreal Canadian's knock

off the Toronto Maple Leafs 2-1, take a 1-0 lead in their Best of 7 series, but that's

only part of the story coming out of the Toronto Montreal game.

The bigger story is the health of John Tavares.

I'm watching in my office at home, and my gut is turning, and just wrenching, watching

that as it happened, and then what made it even worse is how everything was silent,

and the first thing that dawned on me was, it didn't matter that there weren't any

fans there at that moment, because the whole rink would have been silent anyway for

each.

Well, that's exactly what Sheldon Keeves said was that.

I've experienced a lot of different things, a lot of tough injuries and stuff like that,

and in my time as a player and as a coach, and an empty building like that, that was probably

the most uncomfortable situation that I've been a part of on the ice, so it was really

tough to get through.

Our players were rattled and concerned.

I was obviously very concerned as well.
