And we are talking about the all things baseball, the trade deadline reactions with from Fred

because last time he and I potted together

was still four days.

It was a boring trade deadline then.

Now it turned out to be a little bit more active than we thought, Fred.

Yeah, I did.

A lot of trades.

The closer market completely turned on its head.

There were so many closers to bid on on Sunday.

I'll admit that we're just coming off a long weekend in Canada, so I wasn't on my normal weekend routine, so I didn't get a chance to listen to you and Scott on Monday to talk about all the closers that were available for bid on Sunday night. But yeah, I felt like that was the big fantasy-wise. That was the big story of the trade-line is you could probably, probably if you had the funds you could probably get five new potential closers if you wanted to if you

if you had the funds for it on sunday night you could probably get five guys whether it was romero

or santana etc but weren't those guys options underwhelming though i that i i i'm sorry to interrupt

but i thought that okay yes i'm going to have all these options to bid on. And it's just like, twins, really? Yeah, they trade away everybody. You know, Orioles, they traded away everybody. And I was like, okay, those are two teams that, you know, okay, I really am not that excited on bidding on those. and you know the's, I still don't know who's going to be their closer. You know, and Mason Miller's not closing anymore. So that just took away. It was more taking away than adding. That was the thing that was really annoying. I think that's pretty typical, though, for the trade deadline. Like the closers are going to be traded off the worst teams. And then those teams are going

to get even worse. And then whatever you're left picking through, I thought at least the fact

that Dennis Santana stayed on the pirates, although he already has like had a blow up. But

like at least he was someone who clearly seemed like the next guy and had pitched really well

this year, whereas some other teams like the twins were all just picking Cole Sands because he's just the only name we've heard of. We're just like in there both been and we're like, this is the only guy who's got like any major league experience. So I guess we'll take him. So yeah, they're all shots in the dark. Like I didn't have a team that specifically was in like a tight saves race,

but I think if I did, I probably would have been more likely to, if I had bench space

to try to play the odds and try to get three cheap guys rather than put all my eggs in

one basket because there wasn't one guy that I think I was totally enamored with, both

the pitcher and the situation.
