Hey, this is John Gordon with your positive mindset Monday. I think we all agree that habits are

essential for creating a great life. Your habits decide what you do and ultimately what you become.

You are the result of your habits and the actions that you take. I believe in the power of positive habits.

Positive habits create great results. And I want to share with you a tip to help you be successful

in implementing great habits. And it's actually what I call the habit before the habit.

We must engage in habits that allow us to be successful

with our habits. For example, if you want to make working out a habit, exercising a habit

the night before, put out your workout clothes and your workout shoes. When you get up in the morning,

you will see your shoes, you will see your workout clothes,

you'll be more likely to put them on and actually go work out. Say you want to read more books.

A habit is putting out the book on your dresser or somewhere that you'll see it as a reminder to then read that book. So the habit of

putting out the book makes you more likely to actually read the book. Or perhaps you want to engage

members of your team or employees or you want to reach out to clients. A habit before the

habit would be making a list of the people that you want to

connect with that day or that week.

And just having that in front of you will make it more likely that you will engage in that
