Summary

Dan Viens of the Seahawks Forever podcast joins the show to look ahead at this week's NFL Combine. Which position groups is he most interested in for Seattle as we head into draft season? Considering the coaching change, have we seen the last of Bobby Wagner for the Seahawks? Saturday is generally the best day to watch in terms of offensive players, but the team needs for quarterback, running back and wide receiver are relatively low. Michael Penix is expected to throw, which is exciting considering the condition we saw him in following the National Championship. Finally, Dan thinks the Seahawks should take Mike Holmgren's advice on how to balance age vs experience when building a team.

I feel like now that we're into the off season, you know, you and I, we have our own shows going during the season. It gets busy. Now, now is the time that we can do some of the crossover stuff and talk about this is going to be an exciting offseason, man.

You know, it's 14 years with the same message and the same narrative and the same, you know, coaching staff.

1:03.0

And you get to know, you know, what their, what their tendencies are and lots and lots of change this offseason, which means a lot more for us to talk about.

1:13.0

And you've probably seen it on your channel too.

1:14.6

A lot more comments.

1:17.0

Views are up.

1:17.8

I mean, people are thirsty for knowledge because we just don't know in a lot of this.

No.

1:23.4

We don't know how this is going to turn out.

1:24.8

And that's what makes it exciting.

1:26.9

And so you get that sense from fans because we all kind of want to try and decode now the messages from Mike McDonald. Of course, we don't have her decoder ring yet because it hasn't been quite long enough. And yeah, I saw over on the YouTube side, you guys are up over, gosh, have you cracked 5,000 yet? I know you're getting

1:44.6

close. Yeah, about 5,200 now, kind of broke through that and picked up a lot of that, like, just since the coaching changes made, just a lot of added interest and then, you know, the YouTube algorithm to the rest of it. But a lot of support for the channel, which just makes it more fun for me. Well, it's going to be a fun off season. And it's going to be a fun combine coming up because

2:04.9

the Seahawks now, we're picking toward the middle of the first round. That could change,

2:09.9

I suppose. We could see some draft moves, whether or not it's moving up or moving back. I don't

2:15.1

even know quite how to gauge with John Schneider and how he might be

2:20.3

considering this. I suppose it would depend positionally, but the team has a lot of needs. So
