I am Joe Posnanski and with me is Michael Shore. Michael

welcome. Thank you for having me Joe. Oh we're giddy today. We are totally giddy because we are about to start once again the single

stupidest thing that any two people have ever podcasted about which is a big deal.

No listen this it's less stupid than it was before for a couple reasons so let's explain a little backstory. So last year around this time

we decided that we were going to open baseball card packs on the podcast.

Right, and that would be it.

That would be like, like we weren't thinking like, hey, we'll do like a little five minute

stick and no, the entire podcast would be us opening baseball cards.

Yeah, and that was as far as we got in terms of our planning.

But then it expanded and grew and shifted and changed and it became a fundraiser for a very worthy cause which was an ALS related charity in New York.

And it was in honor of our friend Sarah Langs.

That's right.

Who herself is afflicted with ALS.

Yeah, we had her on it was great and correctly identified various

members of the New York Mets from like a like a sliver of their face on the back of a card and and
