Very important book for these times, I'm sure.

John Noltener is a photographer, author,

and activist based in Minneapolis within the last year.

Not so much, but he's the founder and executive director

for a peace of my mind, a multimedia arts project

that uses portraits and personal stories to bridge divides

and encourage dialogue around important issues.

interview for people this is your first book

is my understanding. So people who haven't heard your name, can you talk about your background,

talk about your multimedia project, and what led you to write this book? This is the long question.

This is actually our third book.

The first two for a piece of my mind were self-published.

This is our first book with a publisher.

And so this is being brought out by broadly booked out of Minneapolis.
